We are so proud to begin carrying @millvalleypasta

We are so proud to begin carrying @millvalleypasta pastas and chilli pepper! This was a business born from the pandemic, when chef Tony Adams was not able to work. He began making pasta for his friends, nourishing them and himself through his craft. He has since scaled up his production, and can make hundreds of pounds of pasta in a day! These pastas are bronze and brass cut, which leaves the surface rough and ready to cling to your sauce of choice! Grab a few packs to keep on hand for a weeknight meal, or for that extra special meal to go with that sauce you've been working on for 2 days.

Sunday is Mother’s Day, and we’re your source for All Things Delicious for Mom. Our partners a @acmefloralco loaded us with bouquets aplenty, and Ryan has the perfect wines for Mother’s Day brunch and dinner plans!

If you’re planning a special dinner at home for Mom, we’ve just partnered with @millvalleypasta offering their fantastic dried pastas and their uber-addictive Chile Crespo Condimento Italian style chili crunch made with sun dried tomatoes, olive oil, porcini mushrooms, garlic, pine nuts, onion and mildly spicy chile peppers from Toscano Family Farms of Lodi.

And Sam has the perfect cheese to top your special pasta. As featured in this month’s Cheese of the Month Club, Bianco Sardo is a Sardinian sheep milk cheese that’s rich, bright, and briny. Aged for 6 months, the rind is periodically rubbed with olive oil to retain moisture. The interior is crumbly and flaky, perfect for grating, yet retains a creaminess as it melts on your tongue. Over here at The Plus we’re going crazy for asparagus season and love to shave Bianco Sardo atop grilled or broiled asparagus spears with a squeeze of lemon and a few drops of great olive oil!

And finally, our Cheese of the Month Club is the perfect gift for any cheese lovin’ Mama. Featuring 3 cheeses personally selected by our cheese guy Sam with a nifty newsletter telling her all about the selections, she’ll be in cheese heaven every month.

We are Cheese Plus, a place where you can find specialty artisan cheese, plus so much more. We pride ourselves on being the place to find "All Things Delicious," from wines, beers, charcuterie, conserves, pastas and sauces, condiments, home and kitchen goods, chocolate, sandwiches, coffee, champagne, catering service, and more! Our founder Ray and our incredible team are all passionate about connecting our community to authentic foods and fabulous flavors. We are located at the corner of Polk and a Pacific in San Francisco, and we can't wait to see you all at the shop!

Tomorrow, Polk St. is holding the Pickin' On The Polk Bluegrass Festival! Come stop by the Plus and other participating businesses to hear live bluegrass music, or check out the main stage at Polk and Broadway. The whole event runs from 12pm-6pm! See you there!

We have a new sandwich, and it's an ultra special

We have a new sandwich, and it's an ultra special feature! Our friend and neighbor Luc from @robber_baron created this month's sandwich, Pretty Boy Luc! Luc's take on the muffuletta sandwich is loaded with Genoa salami, smoked ham, olive salad, provolone, dill pickles, peppadew and jalapeño peppers, and roasted tomato aioli on a ciabatta roll.

This delicious cheddar is aged at least nine months, and boasts a slightly sweet flavor, and delicate crumbly texture. Come by and grab a chunk of the champion for your own table!
